1.  TERMS AND CONDITIONS – SCHEDULED WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS

 

When booking a workshop or event with KNEAD N’ COOK you agree that:

  • You will follow all of our hygiene and safety procedures. We recommend that you wear practical clothing, including shoes that cover your toes, a minimal amount of jewelry and hair tied back where necessary.

  • You will arrive 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled start time of your class. Upon arrival, you are required to register and verify your booking with us. 

  • Lockers are provided for participants, however, KNEAD N’ COOK accepts no responsibility for damage or loss of property or personal items in any form left at the venue at any time.

  • You will let us know and you should not attend if you have been ill or become ill in the 48 hours before the session with any diseases e.g. colds and flu; diarrhea, vomiting; and other infections. This is to protect all our guests as these illnesses can be spread through food. In the event that you are unwell, we ask that you send someone in your place. 

  • You may be refused admission if we suspect that you are under the influence of alcohol or any other substance, are ill with a communicable disease or that you are engaging in inappropriate behavior.

  • During the workshop session, you will follow all our instructions for the preparation, cooking, and eating of the meals as well as transportation, storage, heating, and consumption.

  • In some situations, KNEAD N’ COOK may have to cancel a workshop due to operational issues or the minimum number of participants is not met. KNEAD N’ COOK will offer you to make an alternate booking (date/time/class) or fully refund you.

  • You may be photographed and/or filmed during your class and KNEAD N’ COOK may use your name and any photographs and/or recordings featuring you, and may cut, edit and adapt the same as necessary, for use in website, for promotional uses, by means of any and all media, worldwide and in perpetuity.

  • You release us from all claims, damages, and causes of action or liabilities which may arise as a result of your preparation, storage and consumption of food taken home from your workshop session.

  • Without exception, you will indemnify and hold us and our employees harmless from all responsibility for any loss of personal property whilst at the store, or for any injuries or damages you sustain or, or that anyone affiliated with or connected with you in any way may sustain, in connection with or resulting directly or indirectly from your preparation of our food, save where such injuries or damages arising as a result of our negligence; and

  • Our liability to you shall not exceed the total price charged for any sessions/classes booked. Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes our liability to you for personal injury or death caused by our negligence.

  • Any products made by the participants at workshops held by KNEAD N’ COOK are solely for demonstration purposes only.  Participants are advised to take their finished product away with them and handle at their discretion.

  • Food Allergies - Ingredients may have been manufactured on shared equipment with wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, fish, soya and shellfish, and other allergens. Please highlight upon booking with any food allergies. You agree to take into account the dietary restrictions of anyone who may consume the meal prepared at the class by leaving out any foods that may cause harm to the people who will be eating the food you prepare.

When booking a class for kids and children

  • Only children aged 10 years old and above may attend specific classes. They must be able to reach and work unassisted without the use of a stool, prop or and other objects to raise the child at the height of a standard kitchen surface 90cm to participate. In order to avoid disappointment please check the height of your child and those attending a party that you have organized that all children meet the requirement.

  • They must also attend and be supervised by an adult at all times. The adult must supervise the children throughout and assist the child during the cookery class if required.

  • Those aged 15 - 17 years are able to attend an adult class but must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Alcohol will only be served to those who are 18 and over. Proof of age will be required for all that attend our adult classes. 

Bookings and cancellations for individuals

  • All payments shall be made in Hong Kong dollars.

  • All confirmed workshops are non-refundable or rescheduled. However, classes are transferable to your friends and family, and they may take your space for the workshop you booked.

  • If you need to transfer your booked session to another person, you will need to call or email us at “info@kneadncook.com". You must do this at least 3 days before the start day of your workshop. 

  • In the event that you are unwell, we ask that you send someone in your place. Alternatively, if you provide notice prior to the class, you are welcome to collect the ingredients and recipe to take home with you before or after the class. Please note that this may not be possible in all cases and you should call KNEAD N’ COOK at 9226 8545. This cannot be organized via email.

  • Lateness: please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of the class. We cannot accommodate or refund for those who arrive after the scheduled start time, even if you call ahead. The instructor will be expected to start on time and will not be able to repeat the health and safety and/or demonstrations at the beginning of the class.

  • Video recording is straightly prohibited during the workshop.

  • Only fully paid and registered participants may be allowed to stay at the premises of KNEAD N’ COOK during their registered workshop session.

  • KNEAD N’ COOK reserve the right to cancel scheduled workshop if the minimum number of participants is not met.  In the event of cancellation. We will give at least 48 hours notice via phone or email. You may choose to reschedule or a full refund will be offered.

  • If a workshop is canceled beyond the control of KNEAD N’ COOK, you shall release KNEAD N’ COOK from all kinds of costs, damages or expenses that you may suffer or incur.

 

 

2.  TERMS AND CONDITIONS – PRIVATE AND CORPORATE GROUP BOOKING

When booking an experience with KNEAD N’ COOK you agree that:

  • Your group will follow all of our hygiene and safety procedures. We recommend that you inform members wear practical clothing, including shoes that cover their toes, a minimal amount of jewelry and hair tied back where necessary.

  • All group members will arrive 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled start time of the class.

  • Your member will let us know if he or she should not attend if you have been ill or become ill in the 48 hours before your session with any diseases e.g. colds and flu; diarrhea, vomiting; and other infections. This is to protect you, your members and our staff as these illnesses can be spread through food. In the event that they are unwell, we ask that they send someone in your place. The participants of your group booking who are in good health conditions will still be expected to attend.

  • They may be refused admission if we suspect that you are under the influence of alcohol or any other substance, are ill with a communicable disease or that they are engaging in inappropriate behaviour.

  • Your group members will consume any alcohol offered responsibly.

  • Following your class, they will follow all our instructions for the preparation, cooking and eating of the meals as well as transportation, storage, heating and consumption.

  • They may be photographed and/or filmed during the class and KNEAD N’ COOK may use their name and any photographs and/or recordings featuring them, and may cut, edit and adapt the same as necessary, for use in website, for promotional uses, by means of any and all media, worldwide and in perpetuity.

  • They release us from all claims, damages and causes of action or liabilities which may arise as a result of your preparation, storage and consumption of food taken home from their classes, except if solely due to our negligence.

  • Without exception, they will indemnify and hold us and our employees harmless from all responsibility for any loss of personal property whilst at the store, or for any injuries or damages they sustain or, or that anyone affiliated with or connected with them in any way may sustain, in connection with or resulting directly or indirectly from their preparation of the  food, save where such injuries or damages arise as a result of our negligence; and

  • Our liability to them shall not exceed the total price charged for any sessions/classes booked. Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes our liability to them for personal injury or death caused by our negligence.

Book a group class for kids and children

  • Only children aged 10 years old and above may attend specific classes. Bookings and Cancellations for Group Bookings

  • All payments shall be made in Hong Kong dollars

  • A minimum charge/number of participants applies to all group bookings. So, if your group number falls below the minimum group size of 6 people, you may still be charged for the minimum number of participants applicable.

  • Payment in full is required at the time of booking to reserve or hold your booking. Payment may be made via bank transfer or cash.

  • You can pay a deposit of minimum 25% of the total invoice, whatever is more. The balance is due one week before the event upon confirmation of the guest numbers and their dietary requirements. The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE for cancellations with less than 7 day-notice.

  • If you reduce or cancel the number of participants, subject to the minimum group charge/minimum spend amount agreed, our refund policy is as follows:

  • If you give us more than 20 day-notice prior to the booking date, we will refund 100% of your payment less processing fee.

  • If you give us less than 10 day-notice, we will refund you 65% of your payment - cover the venue and staff.

  • If you give us less than 7 day-notice, we are unable to offer any refunds.

  • Final numbers and dietary requirements for your session must be confirmed no later than 7-day prior to the start time of the cookery session in order to give us enough time to pre-order the necessary ingredients and staff. If you would like to increase the number of participants after this time, please email us at info@kneadncook.com to discuss and we will do the best to accommodate you.

 

3.  TERMS AND CONDITIONS – KITCHEN AND VENUE HIRE

When booking or hiring a venue or kitchen, you agree that:

  • You will follow all of our hygiene and safety procedures. We recommend that you wear practical clothing, including shoes that cover your toes, a minimal amount of jewellery and hair tied back where necessary.

  • You will arrive no later than the scheduled start time of your booking. Late arrivals may miss the health and safety briefing and may not be allowed to join the session.

  • Individuals will not attend if they have been ill or become ill in the 48 hours before your session with any diseases e.g. colds and flu; diarrhoea, vomiting; and other infections. This is to protect all guests and staff as these sorts of illnesses can be spread through food.

  • We may be refused admission if we suspect that you are under the influence of alcohol or any other substance, are ill with a communicable disease or that you are engaging in inappropriate behaviour.

  • We reserve the right, at our absolute discretion, to remove any participant whose behaviour is disruptive or inappropriate or that we suspect is uncontrollable under the influence of alcohol or any other substance. You, as the booking organiser shall be held responsible for any loss of, or damage to our property caused by group participants.

  • By law you may not sell alcohol at our venue and serving alcohol is strictly prohibited at our venue.

  • Following your class, you will follow all our instructions for the preparation/cooking of the meals, transportation, storage, heating and consumption (where applicable).

  • You may be photographed and/or filmed during your time at KNEAD N’ COOK. Your name and any photographs and/or recordings featuring you may be used on our website, for promotional uses, by means of any and all media, worldwide and in perpetuity.

  • You release us from all claims, damages and causes of action or liabilities which may arise as a result of your preparation, storage and consumption of food taken home from your event, except if solely due to our negligence;

  • Without exception, you will indemnify and hold us and our employees harmless from all responsibility for any loss of personal property whilst at the store, or for any injuries or damages you sustain or, or that anyone affiliated with or connected with you in any way may sustain, in connection with or resulting directly or indirectly from your preparation of our food, save where such injuries or damages arise as a result of our negligence; and

  • Our liability to you shall not exceed the total price charged for any sessions/classes booked. Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes our liability to you for personal injury or death caused by our negligence.

 

Hirer Responsibilities

  • Persons wishing to hire the kitchen must be over 18 years of age. Proof of identity must be provided.

  • Children under the age of 18 years and pets (including companion animals and guide dogs) are not permitted in the kitchen.

  • The hirer will be the person responsible for actively supervising the use of the kitchen and will be responsible for cleaning the kitchen following the event and any damage done to the kitchen during their period of hire.

  • The hire of the kitchen must not be assigned or transferred to any other person, persons, business or organisation/agency without prior written permission being received from Centre Management.

  • Hirers must ensure that the Hire Agreement and any specific arrangements or instructions are complied with at all times.

  • Hirers must agree that any damaged incurred or loss of property will be the responsibility of the hirer. The kitchen will be inspected after use and additional charges may be imposed if the hirer has not adhered to the hire agreement.

  • Smoking is not permitted within the venue.

  • It is the responsibility of the hirer to obtain public liability insurance. If the hirer is holding a public event, the hirer will be required to provide evidence of public liability insurance.  KNEAD N’ COOK will not hold any responsibility for any damage or claim held by the hirer.

  • KNEAD N’ COOK shall not be held responsible for any personal property placed in or left at the venue.

  • Please be aware that our venue is close to residents, government and community offices and due consideration must be given to nearby tenants. Excessive noise may incur a period of hiring suspension.

  • Organisations who hire the kitchen must do so only for the stated purpose which must be lawful and conducted in a manner that does not disrupt or inconvenience other users.

  • You must supply own pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and other utensils required for food preparation and service; provide a probe thermostat to maintain appropriate food temperatures; provide their own cooking oil and remove any waste residues appropriately. The dispose of the cooking oil at the end of the hire period cooking oil is not to be tipped down the drains in the kitchen or any drains located in or around the facility.  Please ensure all electrical appliances provided by the hirer to be used on site meets Hong Kong SAR standard. NO gas stove or any equipment that consist of fire may be used without our premises.

KNEAD N’ COOK can provide

  • Cleaning equipment 

  • Limited pots, pans

  • Limited kitchen utensils

  • Oven and electric induction stove

  • Fridge and Freezer spaces

  • Plates and cutlery for 20 people

  • Plastic Wine glasses for 20 people

  • Cleaner if required – $100 /hr min 2 hours.

  • Chef if required - Price upon negotiation,  minimum 3 hours

Bookings and Cancellations for Kitchen - Venue Hire

  • Bookings can be made by contacting us info@kneadncook.com with date, time to start and time to finish.

  • Payment in full is required at the time of booking to reserve or hold your booking. Payment may be made via cash or by bank transfer.

  • If you give us more than 28 day-notice prior to the booking date, we will refund 100% of your payment

  • If you give us less than 7 to 14 day-notice, we will refund you 65% of your payment

  • If you give us less than 7 day-notice, we are unable to offer any refunds.

  • Final numbers and dietary requirements for your session must be confirmed no later than 7-day prior to the start time of the cookery session in order to give us enough time to pre-order the necessary ingredients and staff. If you would like to increase the number of participants after this time, please email us info@kneadncook.com to discuss and we will do the best to accommodate you.

  • KNEAD N’ COOK reserves the right to cancel or refuse bookings at any time. In such cases all monies will be repaid and we will not be liable to compensate the hirer or any other entity for any losses which may be suffered or for any costs associated with relocating the event.

6.  TERMS AND CONDITIONS - PROMOTION AND OFFER

  • All offers and promotions are subject to availability and KNEAD N’ COOK reserves the right to cancel offers or promotions at any time.

7.  PRIVACY ACTS

  • It is essential for KNEAD N’ COOK to have your name, current telephone number, address and/or email. If required, we will notify you of a canceled class as soon as is possible.

  • Please inform KNEAD N’ COOK immediately if your contact details change. 

  • Legislation governs the release of private information. Information about you may not be given to any person or organisation outside of KNEAD N’ COOK without your authorisation, except in an emergency, where there is a risk to the general public, or where required by law. In such cases, the owner or nominee must authorise the release of information.

  • CCTV System is installed in KNEAD N’ COOK premises primarily for general security purpose to protect the safety of customers, instructor, our staff, our properties, and in the event of resolving disputes.  Access to and use of the CCTV records will only be granted to KNEAD N’ COOK personnel. We may disclose CCTV records to third parties including government authorities and law enforcement agencies if necessary to respond to any dispute, legal processes, or complaints.

8.  COPYRIGHT ACTS

  • Images of you taken during classes might be used for advertising and/or promotional purposes. In granting permission, you grant KNEAD N’ COOK a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to use such image/s for publicity and promotional purposes.

  • At the time of registration, you may include in the option to receive future offers and updates from KNEAD N’ COOK by email and/or SMS. Your personal information will be kept in a secure database.

  • You may also be included in photos and videos of you in our cooking classes and events for business marketing purposes. You may opt-out at anytime by letting us know by email or telephone.

 

9.  COMPLAINTS AND FEEDBACKS

  • Feedback on the quality of the class you experienced, components individually and/or as a whole are used to improve the delivery of our classes in the future. General feedback will be passed back to our trainers and other staff, where relevant, but will not contain individual customer details.

  • If you have a complaint about your class, please inform your instructor or other staff members at the time, in order that they can attempt to rectify the matter. If satisfaction is not reached by these means then any further complaint should be put in writing to us within 14 days after your class.

  • If you would like to make a complaint in writing you can email us or mail your complaint to 1/F, Po Foo Building, 1 Foo Ming Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. KNEAD N’ COOK will respond to your complaint as soon as possible.
